Foamposites may be the hottest street craze out there.

History Of Vans.

Vans were created in the late 1960's, from the collective ideas of  Paul Van Doren and 3 other partners.  They started off in california, and became ragingly popular a few years after it started in southern california. By the 1970s Vans had 70 stores in california, and sell through dealers nationally and internationally. Vans are still popular now, and continue to grow fanbase wise.

History Of Converse.

The idea of the rubber shoes, Converse came from a man named Marquis Mills Converse in the early 1900's. His idea of the shoe was quite simple, the design, and structure of the shoe. But most imporantly the popularity of the shoe survived so many years. Converse were originally made as basketball sneakers, but as the designs changed the vibrant colors, and style more appealed to people with more rebellious personalities. ( rockers, skaters, etc. ) over the years the Converse company has grown, and still remains in connection with their longtime fans, and consumers.

History Of Nike Inc.

Nike, Inc. was started by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, who met each other in 1957.  Before going into business, Knight became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  Blue Ribbon Sports, the original Nike, Inc., was founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight with a collective investment of $1000 to fund the business endeavor.  The company began with Bowerman and Knight being local distributors for the Onitsuka Tiger footwear brand (now owned by ASICS); Bowerman and and Knight did business out of their cars at local track meets and sporting events to athletes in the vicinity of the University Of Oregon.  The first Blue Ribbon Sports retail store opened in Santa Monica, California in 1966.  As their company's profits began to grow, Bowerman and Knight soon realized that their financial limits imposed by Onitsuka Tiger would limit their long-term profits.  Consequentially, Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS) cut ties with Onitsuka Tiger and began to create and market their own line of footwear and apparel.

History Of Jordans.

The Air Jordan is a brand of Nike Basketball shoes. The brand was named after Michael Jordan, who signed a deal with Nike to endorse his shoe. Yes once again, the brand is named after MICHAEL JORDAN, the Michael Jordan of the chicago bulls which makes the sneakers so popular, even though they may be retro. People are still breaking out the Jordans today :)
